Privacy notice
What we collect, why, who we share it with and how long we keep it. Written to be read.
This notice covers avantigocapital.co.uk and enquiries made to Avantigo Capital Ltd by phone, email or the enquiry form. Avantigo Capital Ltd (company number 17216786, registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ) is the data controller. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under number ZB904454. Contact: david@avantigocapital.co.uk.
What we collect
- Enquiry details you give us: name, contact details, the property, the amount, the purpose, your company details and anything you tell us about your circumstances, including credit history where relevant.
- Application details if you proceed: identity documents, proof of funds, bank statements, portfolio schedules and the other documents a lender requires.
- Website data: anonymous visit counts and the pages visited. No advertising cookies.
Why we use it
To assess and arrange the finance you have asked about (performance of a contract, and the steps before one); to keep records of what we did and why (legitimate interests and legal obligations, including anti-money-laundering rules); and, only if you agree, to introduce you to an FCA-authorised broker or another firm (consent).
Who we share it with
- Lenders you have agreed to approach, and their valuers and solicitors.
- FCA-authorised brokers where your enquiry is for regulated finance and you have consented to the introduction. They will send you their own privacy notice.
- Service providers that host our website and email and store our records. They act on our instructions.
- Regulators, law enforcement or courts where the law requires.
We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not proceed: 12 months, then deleted. Completed cases: six years after completion, because lenders and the anti-money-laundering rules require it. You can ask us to delete earlier where no legal requirement applies.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing david@avantigocapital.co.uk. We respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
